Richerenches still has a long rampart wall surrounded by 4 towers. It was home to a large Commandery of the Knights Templar (1136), today the best conserved in all of Provence. Also see the Church and the Chapel Notre Dame de Bon. On the 1st Sunday in May, there is a huge flower market and fair – and the rampart walls are covered with flowers. A great event ! Regional Products: Richerenches is famous for truffles – from early November to late March truffles are harvested in the region. On Saturday mornings, there is one of the biggest truffle markets in Europe. Richerenches, capital of high-quality truffles has been ranked as an “Outstanding Good Taste” site by the National Board of the Culinary Arts. Around Richerenches, you can also explore the following villages :
